Grace Hall, often referred to by the press and media as “the Italian queen of burlesque,” is an internationally renowned, multifaceted and versatile artist, a pioneer of this art form in Italy.
A professional actress (aka Emma Nitti), she has worked with prestigious national and international artists in film, TV, theater, fashion and music.
She is the writer, director, and producer of the documentary film Burlesque Extravaganza, a captivating road movie into the glittering world of contemporary burlesque. The film is also available on Prime Video.
Her shows have graced the stages of top events in Europe, the United States and Canada.
She has been a guest on several television programs: Domenica In, LineaBlu, Beauty & Me, Iniziamo Bene, Guardami, and Waratte Koraete on Nippon TV (Japan), to name a few.
She has also produced numerous theatrical productions, often involving the students/starlets of her school: Grace’s Tricks Revue, Extraordinaire Magique, and Profumi di Varietà.
Graduated in Modern Literature with a specialization in History and Criticism of Cinema at La Sapienza University of Rome and trained at the Conservatorio Teatrale, ex Scaletta, directed by Diotajuti.
Grace further honed her craft with Ferruccio Di Cori in workshops on theatrical improvisation and the theatre of spontaneity, with Cathy Marchand on the acting techniques of the Living Theatre, with Carlo Boso on Commedia dell’Arte, with Doris Hicks on the Strasberg Method, with Eugenio Barba and Julia Varley of Odin Teatret, also exploring Mejerchol’d’s Biomechanics, Rudolf Steiner’s Eurythmy, and Gurdjieff’s Sacred Dances.
Since 2023, she has been regularly attending acting and writing workshops with Academy Award winner Paul Haggis.
This multifaceted approach to the performing arts has led her to develop a highly personal and unique maieutic teaching method.
Among her productions are Grace’s Tricks Revue, Extraordinaire Burlesque, Profumi di Varietà, and Extraordinaire Magique (featuring illusionism, magic, and mentalism), alongside some of the finest performers on the international scene.
In 2021, representing Italian excellence, she performed in the Italian production curated by Freaky Candy for the Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame, a 48-hour non-stop international showcase celebrating the diversity and beauty of burlesque scenes around the world.
