1.I love Bob Fosse
1pm-2.30pm

Bob Fosse was a great choreographer, director, performer and visionary who influenced musical theatre and cinema from the 1950s onwards, creating a style that was innovative and one of a kind. “Less is more!”

The movements are dynamic and then still, sensual and full of detail. Rhythm and precision alternate with sinuous lines and stillness. His choreography is never without snaps, jazz hands and isolations.

The class includes:

  • A modern/jazz style body warm up
  • Technique work on the most famous movements of the Bob Fosse style, on the spot and travelling through space
  • Gesture work with top hat and gloves
  • An original choreography by Cristina Pensiero, inspired by famous works such as Chicago, The Pajama Game, Sweet Charity and Cabaret

“I’ll pass on to you the beauty and the power of this style, which brings out great sensuality through the smallest of movements.” — Cristina Pensiero

2.The Roaring Twenties Dance Floor
2.30pm-4.00pm

Are you ready to dive onto the most dazzling dance floor of all time, just like a 1920s flapper?

The Roaring Twenties were the years of economic prosperity, cultural change and exuberant optimism — which is exactly why the dancing of that era is so euphoric and full of fizz.

Legs cross and kick, hips shake to the rhythm to set the fringes dancing. Arms — feminine and elegant, sheathed in long gloves — sway and, together with the clapping of hands, bring out the footwork even more. A sparkling dance and, at the same time, a deeply sensual one.

During the class you’ll learn a 1920s choreography and, through it, the technique of the era’s signature steps.

Have fun!
